Privacy policy
This policy explains what happens when you visit synt.be: who is responsible, what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what rights you have. Managing your building in the Synt app itself is covered by separate arrangements in your user agreement.
Who is responsible
Synt BV is responsible for processing your data on this website.
Company number (KBO/BCE): BE 0755.475.887 · Address: Marktplein 25, 1740 Ternat.
Contact for privacy questions: info@koneva.be.
Synt is not a large organisation that monitors data on a large scale or processes sensitive data, so a data protection officer (DPO) is not required by law. Questions about your data simply go to our privacy contact.
What we collect and why
Waiting-list email address. Do you sign up for the waiting list? Then we keep the email address you give us, so we can contact you as soon as Synt is available. Legal basis: your consent (you provide the address voluntarily). That address never goes to PostHog or any other third party for marketing purposes.
Anonymous visitor statistics. Do you give consent via the cookie banner? Then we measure which pages are visited, where you come from and which buttons you use — via PostHog. Legal basis: your consent. Without that consent, we measure nothing; there is no alternative legal basis (such as "legitimate interest") that we rely on. We never link this to your name, email address or other identifying data.
Who receives the data
PostHog Inc. processes the anonymous visitor statistics above, as a processor on our behalf, under a data processing agreement (PostHog's standard DPA). PostHog Cloud EU hosts this data in Frankfurt, Germany — your data does not leave the EU.
How long we keep data
We keep your waiting-list email address until Synt launches, or until you withdraw your consent — whichever comes first. We keep visitor statistics for the retention period set in our PostHog project. [still to be confirmed — check the current setting in the PostHog dashboard].
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability of your data, and to object to the processing. You can withdraw your consent for analytics at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. For the waiting-list email address, you can withdraw your consent by emailing us at info@koneva.be.
Giving your email address or accepting analytics is always voluntary — there is no disadvantage whatsoever to refusing. We don't make automated decisions and don't carry out profiling based on this data.
Making a complaint
Not happy with how we handle your data? Please contact us first. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (DPA/GBA): Rue de la Presse 35 / Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels · contact@apd-gba.be · dataprotectionauthority.be.
Managing your consent
At the bottom of every page, you'll find "Cookie settings" — use it to make your analytics choice again at any time.
